Nhị Độ Mai teahouse over time has been known by many names such as Hiên Trà (before 1920 in Đức Ninh – Quảng Bình), Hiên Mai, Tuyệt Tình Cốc, Di Nhiên tea room and now is Nhị Độ Mai teahouse.. The name of teahouse is not only associated with memories of the family’s Plum garden, the scene of sitting under the spring tea porch enjoying Apricot tea with my grandfather watching the yellow flowers bloom, but also inspired by the Nôm story: Nhị Độ Mai. Our main source of raw materials is from the wild ancient Snow Shan tea tree. Snow Shan tea is tea picked from ancient tea trees growing at an altitude of over 1,400 m (there are even areas such as Tây Côn Lĩnh where tea trees grow at an altitude of over 2,000 m) above sea level, and there is usually no winter. The sun is still in the summer morning, the tea buds are covered in fog, making picking them painful. The villagers call it Snow tea (or Snow Shan) because in winter the snow covers the tops of the trees, cherishing the essence of heaven and earth waiting for spring to sprout, people gather naturally to create clean tea products, water brings especially delicious flavor. Shan Tuyet tea is considered one of the most delicious drinks compared to products from all tea regions across the country. Nhị Độ Mai tea house collects the essence and selects raw materials in the provinces of Yên Bái and Hà Giang, especially in Suối Giàng and Yên Bái; Phìn Hồ village (Thông Nguyên commune, Hoàng Su Phì district, Hà Giang province, Tham Vè, Bó Đướt (Vị Xuyên – the oldest tea region in Vietnam), Tuả Chùa (Điện Biên).
