ORIGIN & CHARACTER
Khiết Bạch Tiên belongs to the Camellia sinensis var. assamica family and shares some characteristics with large-leaf Snow Shan tea. However, it possesses unique traits rarely found elsewhere, including purplish young buds and naturally low caffeine content.
Ancient Khiết Bạch Tiên tea trees grow wild in the primary forests of Chiêu Lầu Thi Mountain at elevations above 1,700 meters. Many trees reach heights of 20–30 meters, making harvesting a demanding and often challenging task.
CRAFTING PROCESS
During the harsh mountain winters, tea buds develop differently from ordinary tea plants. To protect themselves from the cold, the buds form multiple layers of fine silvery-white hairs, creating a natural shield against the elements.
After harvesting, the buds are gently withered for approximately five hours, partially pan-fired to preserve their character, lightly rolled, and then sun-dried until fully cured. This traditional process helps retain the tea’s delicate aroma and distinctive mountain character.
TASTE PROFILE
Growing among wild cardamom, orchids, and diverse forest botanicals, Khiết Bạch Tiên develops an exceptionally expressive aromatic profile.
The liquor offers elegant notes of wildflowers, forest herbs, and fresh mountain vegetation, accompanied by a lingering natural sweetness. Older trees produce deeper and more refined flavors, often revealing remarkable complexity through repeated infusions.
The tea is exceptionally enduring, maintaining both aroma and flavor through more than 15 infusions.
